25 weeks and counting :)

Yes, that is right folks! That means there is only 15 weeks left. 15 weeks may seem like a long time to some of you -- but it really isn't. There is a lot to do to prepare for a baby and moving right before having the babe wasn't originally on my "to do" list.

I had my 5th doctor's appointment today. Everything is looking good. He (wish I could refer to him with a name -- but still, not agreeing on much) was in the shape of a horse-shoe today. I'm thinking we could just call him "Lucky". What do you think?

My belly was measured for the first time last checkup and I measured 1 1/2 centimeters bigger. Today I measured 2 centimeters bigger. I swear last night, he kicked my ribs! This kid is everywhere already.

My midwife drew my blood for the Gestational Diabetes today -- I didn't have a problem with Brax so I am hoping for the same outcome this time.

So my uterus is about the size of a soccer ball right now. The baby is weighing about 1.5 - 2 lbs. And about 13-14 inches long! That is insane.

Oh yeah. The REAL fun part. I've gained 15 lbs. Ick. Really, that isn't too bad. I gained a total of 36 with Braxton and I think I eat much better now than I did when I was prego with Brax. So, even if I gain a pound a week (which a lot of people d) I'd still have only gained 30 lbs. I'd like to shoot for 25, though. :)

A lot of you out there will probably think I'm super crazy - BUT, since we are moving and will have much MORE space and privacy, it looks like we are having the baby at home. I'm actually pretty dang excited, to be honest.

She's delivered about 250 babies here in Utah and has only had 3 transfers (sending them to the hospital.) None of them were emergencies, though. 2 of the 3 women just wouldn't dilate (first-time moms) and the 3rd ... I can't remember what the third was. I'm actually super excited! I can't wait to hold my baby :)

Pretty much everything else is the same -- no real problems. I am now noticing major heartburn and having a hard time falling/staying asleep at night. If I lay on my side too long, I'll wake up and my side is starting to literally fall asleep. So then I lay on my back and apparently, I SNORE! I told David it is ONLY fair to keep him in the "loop." The baby is squished into this tiny space (very uncomfortable), I'm getting kicked all night and feel like I could breathe fire, so it really is only fair to have something be bothersome to David. At least, that is what I tell him. And myself.

Other good news. Even though my tummy is super BIG, I can still wear my regular pants! I think I'm carrying this baby higher than I did before. And so far, not really gaining any weight on my butt and/or hips! YAY! (knock on wood)

So, now that all of you are extremely embarassed that I have just shared all of this info with you -- Hope you have a blessed evening! :) AND A GREAT ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
