Here are a few pictures of me today. It's so weird because, sometimes I feel SO huge and then the next week I feel smaller than I did the week before.
I feel pretty much ginormous all the time now ... but, it all will end here pretty soon! :) Yay!
My friend, Ernie, made a comment about my photo on Facebook recently that said, I should ask the question, "Does this belly make my butt look small?" (and boobs I might add, DANG!) I thought that was pretty funny though, because in all actuality, this huge tummy does make my rear look quite a bit smaller!
So, here are a few pics that David snapped of me, then Ayla snapped a few of David and I, and then David snapped one of me and the kids. (Brax was with his dad for Father's day weekend)
This last picture is just proof that I can still button up my pre-pregnancy jeans at almost 39 weeks. I'm pretty proud of myself! There are two pairs of pants that I am still able to do this with. This either means:
a- All my weight gain was right in my tummy
b- I was fatter to begin with than I though
c- They must be made from super stretchy material
d- Now that I'm one week away from having a baby - why go buy maternity pants?
In all honesty, they are pretty tight. I'm not gonna lie. It feels a little bit like I've just eaten Thanksgiving Dinner and need to unbutton and unzip my pants. However, I didn't buy one pair of new jeans for this pregnancy. I have 3 stretchy pair that I had when I was pregnant with Braxton that I've started wearing the last two months. And then my two pairs of jeans from before I found out I was pregnant. So, needless to say, I'm pretty proud of myself.
As of my last appointment with my midwife, I had gained 28 lbs - so, I didn't make my 25 lbs and under goal. Ahhhh darn! Maybe next time!
Maria - You look wonderful! Congrats on the pre-pregnancy jeans! I am excited to hear of the baby's arrival!! Hang in there!!

ReplyDeleteI was in maternity jeans at like 18 weeks! Mine were awful and uncomfortable as heck!
You look pretty dang good for being pregnant. I never looked that good!
ReplyDelete28 lbs is really good! You look amazing and you have such a cute family!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comment! You look fabulous! I am excited for you! And also a little nervous for your delivery, just because it is different than how Brax was born. I wish you all the luck and love in the world. You are a great mom! Love you!
