a happy surprise plus a laugh

Alright.

So, yesterday I had a very pleasant surprise.  I was out in the garage and found a box with some of my pants in it.  Yay.  It's winter.  I need pants!  Oh yeah, but ... I am pregnant :(

I pulled out the pants and realized that they were from a year ago when I was working and had lost some weight.  Since marriage, I have gained a few.  Not a ton -- but a few.  Plus ... I'm pregnant.

I don't know why I tried them on.  I was sure I'd be depressed.  But in the back of my mind I'm saying to myself "these are the pants I want to wear a month or two after I have the baby."  (I was able to squeeze my fat butt back into my regular pants after having Braxton 11 days after delivery.  I'm planning on this taking a bit longer .... hehe)

So, I put one pant leg on ... seemed ok.  Put the other pant leg on ... they are still feeling ok.  OH MY!  I can zip these puppies up!  Yes, they are a teeny bit snug on my belly, but surprisingly, they fit quite comfortably.  I still feel like I can go out in them in public and not make it on the "what not to wear" episode.

So, I am officially 3 1/2 months prego -- just started my second trimester -- and I still fit into my size 8 jeans!  Yes, that is right folks.  I wanted so badly after having Brax to be in single digit jeans again and I did it last year.  So, I'm pretty happy.  I was between and 10 and 12 before I got pregnant with Brax.  So ... yesterday was a GOOD DAY!

My good friend, Rebecca, posted on her blog this video of Hilary Weeks.  It was hilarious and I just had to share.  Have a great time watching it.  By the way, I had no idea you could see these types of videos on deseret book.  So that my be useful in and of itself!

Does anyone else ever feel like this?
