K, so I'm going to write a mean, nasty post. Because, I'm up to it .... now.
Monday night after I dropped Ben off to his mom, Brax and I stopped by Walmart to get just a few items. David needed some water for work - so that was first on my "to do" list.
The water was at the very end of the aisle that I was on. I heard kids screaming and running around on the next aisle, but didn't think anything of it. There wasn't a whole lot of water left, but there were a few on the very top shelf in the VERY back. I pushed the cart forward a bit to make room for my growing belly. Was up on my tiptoes reaching for the stupid water, when BAM!
These stupid kids come barreling around the corner of the aisle, slam into my cart. They are falling, so they still hold on to the basket part of my cart ... my hands are in midair, when the handle of the cart SLAMS into my stomach!
I think I'm a pretty tough chica -- but it hurt like cuh-razy! They immediately run off laughing, while I'm hunched over in a heap of pain.
I seriously wanted to beat them up. But, it hurt so bad, I just got the heck outta there.
Went home, texted David (he was in class), he told me to call the midwife. She said with blows to the stomach, the thing they worry about is the placenta pulling away. And that more than likely, if something were wrong, we would know within 4 hours. So, I needed to pay attention for blood.
She said to get in a warm bath to soothe the muscles and then lay down. I had to take some tylenol. By this time, the contractions were pretty uncomfortable and much more frequent than one would like.
When David got home he was SO pissed.
Yesterday, David made sure I took it easy. He made me the yummiest breakfast. (I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!) and took care of me ALL day.
Seriously, he is such a sweetheart.
I was having quite a bit of contractions yesterday and last night as well - but they were getting less and less. Less intense and less frequent.
Today I am feeling more like myself. Except it feels like I've done a buttload of crunches. My lower abs KILL. But, everything seems fine :) Whew.
Oh yeah, one last thing ... WATCH YOUR FRICKIN' KIDS! :) (I'm not trying to be mean. I understand kids need to have fun and be kids. But there is a difference between having fun and being totally out of control.)

YIKES! Man, I'd totally have wanted to beat the snot out of those kids too! What gives? I'm glad that things are feeling more back to normal (other than the pain in the abs!)

ReplyDeleteOk... that is awful!! I would have been SO pissed. I think that I would have chased down their mother/father or whoever they were with and gave them a piece of my mind! I am so sorry that happened to you! I am glad that you are doing better! Dang people's kids!
ReplyDeleteUm ya I got really mad just reading that post! I repeat what you just said, "watch your frickin' kids!" I'm so sorry something like that happened! Ouch. I am glad that the cramps lessened. that is such a relief.
ReplyDeleteThat sucks! I'm sorry!
ReplyDeleteMidwife? Are you going to give birth at home??
I'm just glad you are alright and the baby! Sorry that happened to you! I remember I was pregnant with Gwen and Andrew was running around while I was trying to get us out the door. He slipped right in front of me and I fell down our little porch stairs and landed RIGHT ON MY BELLY! I was in bed for three days crying and in pain! Thankfully everything was ok. But it scared me to death. So I totally think I know how you feel.
