Hello, ALL.
Well, Malachi had his first bath on July 3rd. He was 1 week old. Daddy and him started in the shower and then wound up in the tub ... he wasn't quite sure what to think -- but towards the end, he seemed to enjoy it.
I didn't know this, but babies float! David had his hands right behind his head and the rest of his body just floated on the water ... it was cool.

So, we celebrated the 4th by going to our old ward's pancake breakfast Saturday morning. It was really good to see everyone again. It was a really great ward --
Then we (David, me, Ayla, her friend Bree, and Malachi) headed down to Provo (David's stompin' grounds) to the Freedom Festival.
I was SOOOOO glad I wasn't still pregnant. IT WAS BLISTERING!
While there, we found this AWESOME, contraption. We put one on layaway to purchase for Ayla :) But, first we had her test it out ...
I love this picture of us. However, afterwards when I was looking at the pics, I noticed a "blur" in a lot of them -- there was a smudge on the lens! Dangit. Oh well, still LOVE the pic, though.

We headed up to Squaw Peak. It's really gorgeous up there. You can see all of Utah County from there. People were setting up there places to watch the fireworks from there. Next year we are going to try and do that.
Don't you just love Independence Day?!
