One week old!

I cannot believe it has been a week since Malachi was born. It is so crazy how when I was pregnant a week dragged on forever - but now that he is here .... it flew by so quickly.

I really don't want him to grow up. EVER! He has already changed so much and I just hope I cherish this time with him.

I fall more and more in love with him every second. He is the best baby in the world! He is very content and happy. He really only cries when he wants to be fed or changed. What more could a new mommy ask for?

Olivia, the doula, came by today to check up on us. She was so sweet. She brought him an outfit, blanket and a sweet note that I will put in his keepsake book.

She is wonderful! This birth was the first birth where she has been the main doula. Her first birth where she attended that was natural and at home. SHE DID AWESOME! Especially given the situation. She told me today -- "I saw you and said, 'Oh shit! I'm gonna be delivering this baby!' "

However, she kept calm and cool and I had no idea that she was as freaked out as I was - if not more.

Don't you just love her dimples?
