Malachi's first picture. I couldn't believe how wide-eyed he was after he was born. He stayed awake for 3 1/2 hours after he was born!

Ayla came home to see Malachi. She had been forced out of the home and over to her friend, Bree's home, once we realized the baby was coming...

This is Olivia, the doula. She looked like an angel sent straight from Heaven when she arrived at our house that night! I am so grateful for her and her help.

And... Rebecca! Another angel from up above. The top-dog of midwives, EVERYWHERE! She is awesome and handled the chaotic situation wonderfully! Seriously, had either of these ladies been panicky, I would have flipped out. I can't wait to birth with her again. To any of you who would ever be interested in a natural birth ... contact me and I'll get you her info. She gets booked fast because she is so amazing.

Mr. Braxton came home on the 27th after being with his daddy for 2 weeks. He had a new little brother :) He was a bit nervous, but we eventually got him to hold him.

Ben met Malachi for the first time. He had been at his mom's over the weekend. He sure thought he was a cute little bugger.

Rebecca also came over later that day to check on the baby. She always gets a family photo at these appointments. So, here we are :) Ayla wasn't home because she was at stake camp.

My mom came over that day as well to meet Malachi. She brought a few presents. These were two blankets and when I read the card, it took me a while to get it. They were signed, "Love, Grandmother, Whiting" Well, that is my mom's mom. She has been gone since 2004. I immediately started to cry. She had made several blankets before she passed away to be given to more babies born after she was gone. :( It made me so sad, :) yet happy at the same time!
